Addresses in ID cards to be coded
Information about citizen’s address will be provided in electronic form in new identification cards. Codes will be indicated instead of the names of the streets in them.
This information was provided to ‘ICTnews’ by head of the Real Estate Cadastre and Technical Inventory Center of the State Committee on Property Issues of Azerbaijan Republic, Ramiz Guliyev. According to him, all streets and real estates in the country will be given numbers within the project for the creation of address register in Azerbaijan.
Let’s note that the introduction of new ID cards in Azerbaijan will start on January 1, 2014. The new ID cards will have chips inserted into them. The ID cards issued before January 01, 2014 will remain valid until their holders reach the age of 25,35 and 50 years. Citizens get new ID cards in case of changing their names, addresses, marital statuses and military ranks. New ID cards are also given to the citizens who have lost their ID cards are have ID cards with incorrect information on them.
