Broadband internet project to be launched in Azerbaijani regions

Aztelekom Industrial Union of the Ministry of Communications and IT of Azerbaijan has started the provision of several regions with broadband internet service.

Within the framework of the project, 236 villages of 25 regions of Azerbaijan will be provided with 25,000 internet ports.

'Works have already been started in Yevlakh, Kurdamir, Hajigabul, Shaki, Masalli, Agdam, Agsu, Sabirabad, Saatli, Yardimli, Bilasuvar, Neftchala, Astara and Lerik regions'.
Note that, the winner of the tender announced by Aztelekom in connection with the implementation of the project is Chinese “Huawei” company.
