John Lewis to recruit more than 50 IT specialists in 2012
Retailer John Lewis aims to recruit more than 50 IT specialists in 2012 as it looks to fully integrate its multi-channel customer service offering. Thirty of the roles are newly created.
The firm is looking for project managers, business analysts, systems analysts, solutions architects and developers.
"Technology has been identified as one of the most important drivers of our business growth. We are now looking for talented IT professionals to join our team and help us take multi-channel retail to the next level," said John Lewis recruitment manager Owen Roberts.
The recruitment forms part of John Lewis's continued investment in IT, which has seen the
retailer implement tools from IT management cloud provider ServiceNow's software-as-a-service suite to improve internal operations.
Last month, Paul Coby, CIO at John Lewis, told
Computing that the firm is running pilot tests to roll out Cisco's Cius tablets to customer-facing staff.
