TV studio created in Azerbaijan Technical University
A new TV studio has been put into operation in the Azerbaijan Technical University. A proposal to create a TV studio was forwarded by professor Havar Mammadov and was jointly implemented by professor Agarahim Rahimov, the head of the ‘Television and Radio Systems’ department, professor Chingiz Efendiyev, the first director of ‘Azteleradio’, Aflatun Safarov, director of ‘Teleradio’ Production Unit, Mikayil Abbasov, technical director ‘Teleradio’ PU.
According to information provided to ‘ICTnews’ by Zohra Efendiyeva, the head of the technical department of the ‘Teleradio’ Production Unit, the ‘Television and Radio Systems’ department of the university will control operation of the TV studio. The TV studio was created with use of special insulation material in order to exclude unwanted noises and sounds.
The TV studio has an area of 24 m2 and is equipped with two ‘HVR-HD 1000E’ professional cameras which can be used in both stationary and mobile operating mode. The studio has technical capability to edit shot materials and carry out live broadcastings. The studio is outfitted with ‘DSC-700’ and ‘Xenix 1832FX’ type video and audio mixers, ‘DVCAM SONY DSR’ tape recorder, ‘SONY DVD’ player and ‘HP’ monitors and other modern equipment.
The TV studio can carry out live broadcasting of lectures, discussions and laboratory activities to the university and nearby areas. Beside the Technical University, the studio conducts live transmissions to the University of Engineering and Construction, the Baku State University and the Academy of Science.
The TV studio was created with the aim of spreading information on scientific activities, improving students’ practical skills and transmitting information on innovations in the sphere of TV technologies to other educational institutions.
