Language interface for Windows 8 to be localized into Azerbaijani
Complete localization of the language interface of the Windows 8 operating system (OS) into the Azerbaijani language will be implemented much faster than the localization of Windows XP and Windows 7, the Microsoft general manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Veronika Prikrylova, said in an interview with the Azerbaijani magazine about technology and technology InfoCity.
"Localization of the operating system kernel is highly dependent on how product has been designed. However, the company's strategy is to create products that with each new version would be easier to locate," said Prikrylova.
Also Prikrylova noted the considerable efforts made by the Government of Azerbaijan in the process of preparing and introducing legislation for the protection of intellectual property rights.
"Last year, the Government of Azerbaijan signed a relevant agreement, and government agencies are exploring the use of only legal software. Government of Azerbaijan was the first among the CIS countries supervised by me, to make such a big step forward," said Prikrylova.
She said that in some countries official figures for the level of pirate sales are quite high, so the company expects the next report of the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), which will show how things have changed in the region. In the meantime, the company is looking forward to the correct steps taken by the Azerbaijani government to reduce trade in pirated goods.
"Azerbaijan has a long way ahead, almost passed by the Balkan countries, which today have shifted to a more vigorous activity in the way of preparation for accession to the EU," said Prikrylova.
