Azerbaijan’s prosecution, Russian Investigation Committee boost ICT cooperation
A delegation of the Russian Investigation Committee visited the General Prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan on 16-19 April as part of the cooperation program signed between the two structures on 28 September 2010. According to the news service for the General Prosecutor’s Office, the guests were provided with the detailed information about the reforms in the prosecution bodies in the sphere of application of modern information technologies, including creation of the centralized information and communication system that will ensure the e-exchange of documents in the Prosecutor General’s office and subdued prosecutions, its main parameters and functions.
It was especially noted that the departments of the General Prosecutor’s office joined the program of E-state document turnover prepared by IT introduction service of the Department of Legal Provision and Information of the General Prosecutor’s Office. The next stage envisages the involvement of the Military prosecutor’s office of the country, Baku city prosecution, regional prosecution of Baku and then regional (city) and territorial military prosecutions.
It was noted that e-archives are formed in every department of the General Prosecution, definite measures are taken for the wider application of internal e-turnover and document exchange, creation of a single network between the General Prosecutors Office and all subdue prosecutor’s offices via optic cable, introduction of modern information technologies to ensure the activity of the system.
The delegation also visited the scientific and educational center of the General Prosecutor’s office, familiarized with the modern equipment, used at its chairs and in labs.
