E-services enter active phase in Azerbaijan
E-services of the Azerbaijani State Property Committee have been integrated into the 'Electronic government' portal, Azerbaijani deputy minister of communications and IT Elmir Valizade said at a public presentation on 'E-services in the management and registration of property: Ensuring transparency and efficiency,' today.
He said that e-services rendered by the committee are currently available on the portal.
"We think that the number of e-services presented on the portal will be increased in the future," he said. "The mechanism of their implementation will be further improved."
The work with the state bodies in this direction is being conducted upon a presidential decree dated May 23, 2011 on certain measures for rendering electronic services. He said that the formation of electronic services in Azerbaijan enters into the active phase of its development today.
The new relations between officials and citizens are being formed qualitatively, he said. The information register in each public agency significantly reduces the number of the documents required from the citizens when applying to a particular state department.
"In this regard, it is very important to have the registry, because it is the foundation for e-services," he said. A digital signature will be required to use the new services.
Today all the necessary work has been conducted to create centres issuing digital signatures. There are three such, one of which is the main one; the other two are designed for issuing signatures to the public sector and the third one to the population and business organisations. The number of e-services presented on the portal will increase and the mechanism for rendering services will be improved, he added.
