Information technologies and nanotechnology – priority areas for education abroad
According to information provided by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to ICTnews, information technologies, nanotechnology, engineering, oil industry, physics, biology, agriculture, chemistry, ancient languages, mathematics, medicine, tourism and economy will be priority areas for receiving education in foreign universities in 2012-2013 academic year.
The competition, organized by the Ministry of Education among students of high schools and universities who want to study abroad, is still continuing.
High school and university students, who achieved high results in their education, and meet the criteria stipulated in ‘Rules for the selection of Azerbaijani young people to be educated abroad’ approved by the Cabinet of Ministers’ order and ‘The list of the foreign universities in which Azerbaijani young people can receive education’, approved by the order of
the Commission on Education under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The winners of the competition will be able to continue their education in foreign universities to receive bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The high school and university students, who want to take part in the competition, need to fill and print out an application on the Ministry of Education’s web-site (

http://xaricdetehsil.edu.gov.az), sign and submit it together with the other relevant documents to the Ministry of Education for registration before August 20, 2012.
