Ministry of Youth and Sports to present ‘Under Occupation’ computer game
A presentation ceremony for a new computer game called ‘Under Occupation’ will be held on June 23, 2012 at the ‘Guba’ hall of the ‘Hyatt’ hotel. The new computer game was developed in honor of the day of creation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. This information was provided to ICTnews by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the ministry, the game is about the Karabakh war and involves military operations, which are conducted with the aim of liberating Shusha city from armenian occupants. The game’s graphic was developed based on Karabakh’s landscape and sights of Shusha city.
By playing this computer game young people will increase their combat skills, learn history of Azerbaijan. They will also get a patriotic feeling when fighting and liberating their native land from foreign invaders. The computer game has been developed by students learning at different universities and is equal in quality to the world-known computer war-games.
The ‘Under Occupation’ game is not a replica or modification of any of existing war-games. It is a brainchild of Farid Haqverdiyev, a student of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Music for this game was written by a young composer Agshin Alizade. The ‘Under Occupation’ game can be downloaded from the web-site ‘www.azdimension.com’ or the web-page “www.facebook.com/AzDimension” of the Facebook social network.
Let’s note that the presentation of the ‘Under Occupation’ computer game is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in line with the State Program ‘Azerbaijan Youth in 2011-2015’, approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s order dated July 07, 2011.
