Most modern irrigation systems equipped with computer control system to be installed in Azerbaijan
Most modern irrigation systems equipped with computer control systems will be installed in Azerbaijan. This information was provided to ICTnews by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Recourses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The ministry says that as a result of the activities implemented in the field of protection and restoration of forests and planting groves, over 1 mln hectares or 11.8 percent of the territory of the republic have been covered with woods.
More than 4 mln trees have been planted in Baku and surrounding areas. In addition to the existing olive groves planted in 200 hectare area around Hovsan settlement in the previous years, new olive groves have been planted in the area of 300 hectares, and 97-98 percent of growth has been insured.
Special equipment has been brought to Azerbaijan to install modern irrigation systems equipped with computer control systems in the area of 350 hectares located along the Baku-Guba highway between Zeynalabdin Tagiyev and Zabrat settlements, in the area of 223 hectares located along the Baku-Shamakhi highway between Mushfigabad settlement and Chayli village, in the area of 450 hectares located along the Alat-Atbulag section of the Baku-Gazakh highway, and in the area of 250 hectares located along the Alat-Salyan section of the Baku-Astara highway. As a result of these measures, a modern irrigation network covering areas located along of more than 160 km of road will be created.
