Computer and TVsets to operate wirelessly

IEEE Standards Association has standardized its “WiGig” technology, which is used to insure wireless operation of computers and television sets.

According to information posted on “cybersecurity.ru” website, “WiGig” technology works within 60 QHs frequency range and allows to transmit data over 10 m distance at 7 Gbit/sec speed. As a comparison, modern “801.11g” router transmits data at 50 Mbit/sec speed. According to IEEE Standards Association, the first batch of “WiGig” units will be released in the second half of 2013.
