The 150th electronic examination has been held in Nakhchivan State University
Nakhchivan State University has successfully conducted the 150th electronic examination during semester exams. According to information provided to "ICTnews" online news service by Nakhchivan State University, before the examinations had begun, the rector of the university, academician Isa Habibbayli, met with students to wish them success and to listen their requests and proposals with regard of the electronic examinations.
It was mentioned during the meeting that electronic tests, which have been held at the university to date, justified students’ expectations by insuring objectivity and transparency of university exams. At the meeting new proposals were made to introduce technical improvements to electronic exams. The students expressed their hope that in future all university examinations will be conducted in form of electronic tests. Upon completion of the meeting the examination began.
Within the set time, the students, using computers, answered 50 questions, and within 30 seconds after confirming the completion of the test, the students were provided with examination results. The examination was supervised by the rector of the university, academician Isa Habibbayli and the academic director, the doctor of philosophy in philology Sura Seyid.
It should be noted that there have not been so far any technical problems or negative incidents linked to electronic examinations. An appeal commission has been established to consider complaints and insure objectivity of the examinations.
Some departments of the university have already applied for holding all their examinations in the form of electronic tests. In this connection, preparation work has begun at the university.
