Japanese come to Azerbaijan to hold talks on artificial satellite technologies
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov received a foreign delegation headed by Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Central Asia and Guam of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Takeshi Hikihara.
While expressing satisfaction with his first visit to our country, Hikihara pointed out that there are a lot of shared values between Azerbaijan and Japan, including such ones as democracy and rule of law. While touching upon the launch of the first Azerbaijani artificial satellite on February 7, 2013, the special representative noted that Japan has a very extensive experience in this area and intends to share this experience with Azerbaijan.
The foreign guest also noted that Japan considers Azerbaijan as its chief and most reliable partner in the region. In his turn, K. Khalafov welcomed the guest and said that there are now strong and high level relations between the two countries.
“The cooperation between our countries is effectively developing in all spheres of economy due to the high level of political dialogue. Japanese companies continue to play an important role in the development of Azerbaijan’s economy. By effectively carrying out their activities in Azerbaijan, Japanese companies expand cooperation between our countries. Azerbaijan is strongly interested in utilizing Japan’s wide experience in ICT.”
At the end of the meeting deputy minister told the Japanese gusts about the activities Azerbaijan carried out in the region.
