Introduction of single dialing format for long-distance calls starts

Dialing format, adopted in 2011 and has been used so far in parallel with the old format, will be implemented on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan from April 1, 2013.

Remind that Azerbaijan started to implement new telephone area codes in 2011 with the view of switching the country’s telecommunications network to a single numbering system. From 1 April this year the old form of dialing was completely suspended.

The new dialing format is available on the websites of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologiesand Aztelekom Production Association.
