Deputy Minister: “Azerbaijan will continue to cooperate with the UN in such spheres as ICT, education, healthcare and management”

As a result of the realization of the UN Development Program, Azerbaijan, which used to receive donations from other courtiers and international organizations, has already itself turned into a donor country.

With the adoption of “Azerbaijan 2020 – Look into the Future” Concept the country has entered a new stage of development.  Under this concept, Azerbaijan will continue cooperation with the UN and its specialized structures in such fields as information and cooperation technologies, agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare and management.

These thoughts were expressed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev at Seminar on Cooperation and Mobilization of Recourses held in Baku. The seminar was organized by the Regional Bureau of the UN Development Program for Eastern Europe and CIS countries with the aim of preparing a plan for improving living conditions of people.

The activity discussed the ways of increasing efforts being taken by all member states for the realization of Development Program. Under the new UN Development Program strategy, Azerbaijan will strengthen cooperation with other countries in   various spheres, including ICT.
