Five state agencies of Azerbaijan connected to e-government portal

Five public enterprises of Azerbaijan have got connected to the e-government portal, informed SayberNet Company.

Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, Ministry of Taxes, State Customs Committee, State Social Protection Fund and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection have been connected to the portal.

As it is known, Azerbaijani SayberNet Company, which implements the functions of a system integrator, was selected as the organization entrusted with the work on the technical construction of the system.

The number of state agencies represented on the portal is expected to increase by September and the criteria for their selection will depend on the readiness of their IT-infrastructures.

The creation of a portal "e-government" will use the principle of X-Road, which is designed to unite the existing information bases and systems built on different platforms.

X-Road system allows to combine databases of various government organizations, provide composite services to the public, as well as provide interactive services with an opportunity to engage in dialogue "state-citizen".
