Smartphone with the biggest battery entered the world market
A long lasting battery life in a phone is a fainting memory as companies focus more on design and high-end specs. A Chinese smartphone maker named Oukitel is planning to change that by packing the world's biggest battery -10,000mAh - in a newly-released K10000 smartphone, International Business Times reported.
Even with such a massive battery, Oukitel K10000 brings good looks and quick charging technology.
Available exclusively on GearBest, Oukitel K10000 is up for pre-orders for $239.99 (approximately Rs. 16,000). However, you can avail additional discount by using promo code K10000 to get the handset for $199.99 (approximately Rs. 13,500). The product listing reveals the pre-sale of K10000 ends 2 january, which is when the handset will start shipping.
Customers can place order from any part of the world and GearBest will deliver the K10000 for free under standard shipments, which takes up to 7 business days for most countries, including India.
Besides the mammoth battery in the K10000, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch HD IPS screen, 13MP primary camera and 5MP front camera for selfies. The dual-SIM handset is equipped with 4G LTE support, which also works with India's LTE bands.
Oukitel K10000 is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable memory.
With such a massive battery pack, users might be concerned about the time it will take to fully charge the device. According to product description, K10000 charges from 0 to 100 in just 3.5 hours and also supports reverse charge function to act as a power bank. With normal use, the handset is expected to last for up to 15 days.
Oukitel has also addressed the designing aspect carefully in the K10000. The handset features "hexa-faceted edges" and a full steel frame for a comfortable grip and resistance against drops. With the 10,000mAh battery, K10000 measures 14mm in width, which is reasonable.
