ESC issues warning for social network users

The Electronic Security Centre (ESC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has issued a warning for social network users.

The warning says that social network users shouldn’t click on links from unknown sources and that they should check the authenticity of the webpages of state agencies and public and political figures.

It also advises users to inform social network administrators of fake accounts. At the same time, the center recommends web site administrators to take necessary measures to ensure the security of websites.

The warning was issued because of the recent increase in the spread of malware via spam messages.
