The number of electronic certificates on the E-government portal has increased
The number of electronic certificates that are issued to citizens through the E-government portal continues to increase.
Thus, the "Seafarer’s identity document" e-certificate, which is issued by the State Maritime Administration, has been digitalized and integrated into the E-government portal.
The e-certificate is prepared based on the seaman’s identity document.
The data for "Seafarer’s identity document" is obtained from the "Entry-Exit and Registration" Interagency Automated Data-Search System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
To obtain the "Seafarer’s identity document" e-certificate, the citizen should access the E-government portal and select this e-certificate in the "Electronic Certificates" section.
Note that presently, the E-government portal provides citizens with 17 different types of certificates.
E-certificates are the most popular type of electronic services in our country.
The results of a research conducted by the employees of the portal show that the citizen has to use more than 40 different types of paper certificates for carrying out various transactions.
Given that the information held in either electronic or paper certificate is obtained from the same data system, it is more preferable to use the electronic form of the document.
Along with increasing the efficiency and transparency of services, electronic certificates simplify the work of state agencies.
At the same time, electronic certificates are more cost and time saving and more reliable compared with paper certificates.
Note that after the integration of the "Seafarer’s identity document" e-certificate into the E-government portal, the total number of e-certificates on the portal has reached 18, and the total number of e-services on the portal has reached 447.
