Thomson Reuters agency increased impact factor of Azerbaijani scientific journal
According to the report for 2016 recently released by the U.S. company Clarivate Analytics (formerly part of Thomson Reuters), the impact factor of the Applied and Computational Mathematics journal, published with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and representing Azerbaijan , rose from 0.717 to 1.333.
World-known universities, scientific research centers refer to the journals recognized by the agency. The rating of the journals is determined by the number of references made to.
Note that the journal Applied and Computational Mathematics keeps its leadership in the region in terms of impact factor.
The journal, founded by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Applied Mathematics Research Institute of Baku State University and National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan is the first and so far the only Azerbaijani journal with impact factor.
High-level scientific articles relating to various fields of applied mathematics are published in the journal which has been published in English since 2002 and received valid reviews.
For 16 years, the journal has carried out scientific exchange with more than 200 international scientific and educational institutions in 45 countries.
Thomson Reuters, which began its activity as a scientific information institute, has contributed to the scientific community for over 50 years by publishing its first five-volume Science Citation Index in 1964.
