Gartner: the volume of the world market of microelectronics in 2017 will exceed 400 billion dollars
This year the sales volume of microelectronic components in the world will for the first time exceed 400 billion dollars. According to forecasts of analysts of Gartner, it will make 401,4 billion dollars that is 16,8% more, than last year.
The boundary of 300 billion dollars has overcome the market in 2010, and in 200 billion - in the 2000th. Market growth is caused by deficiency of modules of memory of DRAM and NAND, analysts note. It has allowed producers of memory to raise the prices and to increase income and profits.
In terms of money the sales volume of modules of memory in 2017 will grow by 52%, and growth of receipts from sales of modules of memory will influence distribution of shares of producers in all market of microelectronic components.
The Samsung company which is the largest producer of modules of memory has chances following the results of a year for the first time to outstrip Intel, analysts believe. The Intel corporation has won first place in 1992, having displaced from it NEC, and holds him still. Samsung has risen to the second place in 2002.
However rise in the market of memory can't continue eternally, analysts note. By 2019 producers will increase deliveries, the deficiency will disappear, and the prices will fall, and Samsung can lose the advantage got this and next year.
