Galaxy S8 Named Best Phone At Mobile Choice Consumer Awards
The Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2017 show took place last night in London, and during the show, a number of awards were given out to companies and their smartphones, though it’s worth noting that this awards ceremony is UK-focused, for those of you who were unaware of that. That being said, let’s get started, shall we. The Galaxy S8, Samsung’s flagship smartphone, has been named ‘Phone of the Year’ at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards. Now, in addition to that, the device also received an award for the Best Camera Phone of 2017, while Samsung managed to grab the ‘Manufacturer of the year’ award
Now, Samsung is not the only company which was awarded last night, Honor managed to grab a win in the ‘One to Watch’ category, and in addition to that, the company’s Honor 9 handset was named the ‘Best Mid-Market Phone’ of the year. Motorola’s Moto E4 grabbed the ‘Best Value Phone’ award at the show, as it managed to beat the likes of the Honor 5C, Nokia 3310 (2017), Galaxy J3, and so on. The Apple Watch 2 took home the prize in the ‘Best Smartwatch’ category, while the Fitbit Charge 2 was proclaimed the ‘Best Fitness Wearable’ of the year. The Google Home also managed to get recognized during the show, as this smart speaker won the ‘Connected Gadget of the Year’ award. In addition to all that, Sky Mobile won the ‘Best Value Network’, while Three managed to grab the ‘Best Network for Roaming’ and also ‘Best Network for Data’ awards. The ‘Best Network’ award was given to EE, in case you were wondering.
It’s also worth noting that Amazon was given the ‘Best Online Retailer’ award, while Vodafone walked away with the ‘Best In-Store Customer Experience’ award. TechHouse Repair won the ‘Best Repair Service’ award, while Carphone Warehouse got the ‘Best High Street Retailer’ award. And last, but not least, the ‘Best Recycling Service’ award was given to Mazuma Mobile. As you can see, quite a few awards were given out during last night’s ceremony, while Samsung and Honor won the most in the smartphone category. Some people will probably argue it’s a bit too early for such a ceremony, as the Pixel 2 phones just landed, and the Huawei Mate 10 is also on the way, but it is what it is.
