Huawei Enjoy 7S with dual cameras, 18:9 display launched
Huawei has launched another mid-range smartphone with 18:9 display in China. Huawei Enjoy 7S features an all-metal unibody design giving it a premium look and is the successor to the Enjoy 6S that was launched earlier this year.
In terms of features, the Enjoy 7S features a 5.65-inch FullView display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The Full HD+ resolution translates to an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is taller than the 16:9 aspect ratio found on most smartphones available today. With the use of the new taller display and thinner bezels, the Enjoy 7S switches to on-screen navigation buttons and moves the fingerprint sensor to the back.
As rumored, the Huawei Enjoy 7S is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 chipset clocked at 2.36GHz coupled with Mali-T820-MP2 graphics processor. The smartphone comes in two storage variants: a standard model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and a higher version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
It sports dual rear camera setup with primary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor for capturing depth. The rear camera setup is aided by LED flash. For selfies, Huawei Enjoy 7S features an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Enjoy 7S runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone offers connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS and microUSB port. There is also Histen, a 3D sound technology to enhance the HiFi sound output.
Huawei Enjoy 7S is priced at 1,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,000) for the 3GB RAM variant while the model with 4GB RAM is priced at 1,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 17,000). The smartphone will go on its first sale starting December 22 and might launch in other markets under company’s Honor brand.
