Nokia will re-release the cult phone E71
HMD Global is likely to unveil the Nokia 9 along with a Nokia 8 (2018) on 19th January 2018. Now seems like, alongside both these smartphones, the company is also going to unveil a 4G feature phone.
A Chinese website MyDrivers via GizmoChina has revealed that a new 4G enabled Nokia feature phone which is said to be the Nokia E71 (2018) may be announced alongside the other devices in early 2018. The Nokia E71 (2018) could be a refreshed version of the older Nokia E71 feature phone which came in 2008 with a Qwerty keyboard.
The Nokia E71 (2018) is expected to feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that will support a resolution of 480p. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 chipset which will be coupled with 1 GB RAM. The phone will reportedly be having 8GB of internal storage and a micro sd card slot for expandable memory.
The E71 (2018) is likely to be boasting a 3-megapixel rear camera and user-removable battery. It is expected to arrive in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants for different markets. On the software front, the 4G feature phone from HMD Global is believed to be powered by Kai OS.
The Nokia E71 (2018) is expected to be priced well below $150 which is approximately Rs 9,607. As of now, there is no information available on its exact launch date but it is expected to be unveiled alongside the upcoming Nokia 9 flagship phone.
Recently, 4G Nokia feature phone got the Bluetooth certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). Reportedly five variants with model numbers TA-1047, TA-1060, TA-1056, TA-1079 and TA-1066 Nokia phones have got Bluetooth certification.
