“Wake Me Up” project reaches final of prestigious international competition
The project “Wake Me Up”, one of the winners of the 5th Grant Competition announced by the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, reached the final of the “Seedstars Summit” international competition held in Lausanne, Switzerland.
More than 75 countries across Asia, Africa and Europe participated in this year’s competition.
Panel discussions on health, technology, ecology, social networks and other important issues were held at the competition with the participation of influential investors and company managers.
Note that Seedstars is a Swiss based group of companies with the goal of impacting people’s lives in emerging markets through technology and entrepreneurship. Seedstars connects stakeholders within these ecosystems, builds companies from scratch with public and private partners and invests in high growth startups. Through different activities of startup scouting, company building and acceleration programs, the team has now access to entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, corporations and government officials from more than 60 countries.
The project “Wake Me Up” is a technology developed to prevent accidents that might be caused by sudden drowsiness. The technology includes specially crafted glasses that wake up their wearer from drowsiness.
Within the framework of the 5th grant competition held by the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies, 11,000 AZN were allocated to the project to develop its working prototype.
