Investors Club in ICT field established
The Investors Club in the ICT field, which is a coordinator of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT), was established some time ago with the aim of developing the innovation ecosystem.
The club, called "InnoInvest", will operate in the following directions:
- Development of entrepreneurship in the ICT field in Azerbaijan.
- Reduction of budget expenditures through attracting private investments to the ICT field.
- Improvement of the investment climate in the ICT field and efficient placement of investments.
- Integration of new technologies into the local economy.
- Expansion of scientific research activities and widening the application of innovations.
This information was provided by Head of Department of Innovative Development of Information Society and Electronic Governance of the MTCHT, Rashad Azizov, at the innovation camp "InnoCamp", which was organized in Sheki city within the framework of the project "From Idea to Business".
He noted that the scope of the project "From Idea to Business" has been further expanded.
"Thanks to the ‘InnoInvest’ Investors Club, investors will be able to earn high profits by investing in promising ICT projects, create a joint fund by entering into cooperation with several investors in innovative projects, get support from the state, etc.
At the same time, the authors of promising startup projects will have the opportunity to meet directly with investors and to attract investments for startups on favorable conditions.
As one of the directions of the Club's activities, the ‘crowdfunding’ financing form was created in a special section (
http://i2b.az/az/innoinvest) of the ‘From Idea to Business’ project’s website", Rashad Azizov added.
He stressed that companies, successful entrepreneurs, private entrepreneurs from startups (business angels) and startupers who have achieved success with the help of "InnoInvest" can become members of the Club.
Rashad Azizov also noted that "a number of successful startups have already joined this platform".
