The VAIO SX12 fits nine ports into a 12.5-inch laptop

AIO announced the SX12, a 12.5-inch laptop that packs in more ports than many larger and thicker laptops (via the Verge). The device includes three USB-A ports, one USB-C port, a full-size SD card slot, an HDMI port, an ethernet port, a VGA port, and a headphone/microphone port.

The laptop runs on an Intel 8th Gen quad-core Core i5 or i7 processor and has an optional LTE module. Despite its number of ports, the VAIO SX12 is only 897 grams (1.98 lbs).

The SX12 is the successor to the VAIO S11. The SX12 takes advantage of its size thanks to an edge-to-edge keyboard and thin bezels surrounding its LCD screen.

The laptop looks very similar to the VAIO SX14 that we reviewed earlier this year. Both devices would be useful to business consumers who rely on several ports.

The SX12 is available in black, silver, pink, and brown and is on sale starting this week. The laptop is only available in Japan and will start at 119,800 yen, which converts to just over $1,100. The highest variant of the SX12 is 216,800 yen, which is roughly $1,992. There isn't any information regarding a US release of the VAIO SX12 but its worth noting that both the S11 and SX14 are available in the United States.
