Azerbaijan leader in South Caucasus and Central Asia in terms of Internet penetration

Azerbaijan occupies a leading position in the region of the South Caucasus and Central Asia in terms of Internet penetration.
 
This is stated in the report on the number of users of the global network published by the Internet World Stats (IWS).
 
According to the report, the number of Internet users in Azerbaijan is roughly 8 million.
 
As reported by APA-Economics, Azerbaijan is ahead of Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in terms of the Internet penetration among the population in the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
 
According to the report, the countries of Asia account for 55.1% of all Internet users in the world.
