Baktelecom provides residents of new residential area with multimedia services
Baku Telephone Communications LLC (Baktelecom) under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies in connection with the beginning of the new school year has accelerated the provision of apartments and private houses with telecommunications services.
Along with new and old buildings, the company continues the implementation of the project “Fiber to the Home” and in private houses.
Thus, the construction of an optical network in a new residential area located on Gum island on the road to Hovsan settlement of Surakhani district of the capital has already been completed. Work has already begun to provide some 100 families, which received free internet equipment, with high-speed multimedia services.
Furthermore, the possibility of using telephone, internet and IPTV services through one optical line aroused great interest among residents. Thus, an opportunity has been created for them to connect to the package “1 line – 3 services” on favorable terms.
At the next stage, it is planned to build a new telecommunications infrastructure in residential areas consisting of private houses in Nizami, Khatai, Sabunchi and Khazar districts.
It is to be recalled that the “Fiber to the Home” project is being implemented by Baktelecom based on GPON technology (Gigabit Passive Optical Network), which meets modern standards. The technology provides users with broadband internet access and high quality service.
