Postage stamp issued in Azerbaijan on occasion of 75th anniversary of victory over fascism

Azermarka LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has issued a postage stamp dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II.
 
The purpose of issuing the postage stamp is to promote Azerbaijan’s contribution to the victory over fascism in 1941-1945 among both local and foreign philatelists.
 
The stamp depicts the lever arm of a pumping unit used in oil production – a Wehrmacht soldier’s helmet destroyed by a balance beam, and in the background – oil derricks of those years.
 
Through this postage stamp, the importance of Azerbaijani oil, the titanic work of Azerbaijani oil workers behind the lines in the destruction of fascism, which became a disaster of mankind in the middle of the twentieth century, is once again highlighted and spread among philatelists around the world.
 
Additionally, 200 First Day covers were issued.
