Fake messages are sent to citizens that Armenia will launch attack, leave your places of residence for security reasons
Armenia continues to spread provocative information and misinformation in cyberspace. Thus, this time, our citizens are sent messages from fake foreign numbers on behalf of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, saying that Armenian armed forces will launch an attack on Tovuz region, temporarily leave the region for security reasons.
It should be noted that earlier fake messages were also sent to citizens, which said that due to the threat of missile strikes on Ganja and Barda regions, it was necessary to take refuge in shelters.
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies states that this information is intended to create fear and anxiety among the population and does not correspond to reality.
We ask citizens to trust only information from official sources, not to respond calls and messages from strangers, block these numbers and complain about spam messages. In addition, save screen images (screenshots) and other electronic evidence of cyber incidents that have occurred and send them to us.
Also, when you faced any cyber incident or need to obtain methodological support, please contact the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies via the website
