First event of Applied Science Week dedicated to 100th anniversary of Lotfi Zadeh held
The opening of the Applied Science Week, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the world-renowned scientist, founder of fuzzy logic theory Lotfi Zadeh, took place.
The Applied Science Week, organized by Lotfi Zadeh Technology Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Pasha Bank and ADA University, will last until February 5.
At the event, information was provided on the emblem of the Applied Science Week, designed by Adil Asadli, a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, the purpose of the week and the establishment of Lotfi Zadeh Technology Center.
It was noted that Lotfi Zadeh Technology Center will be officially opened on February 4. The Center aims at promoting incubation and acceleration programs, providing coworking services, conducting training programs for startups, exchanging information to attract local and foreign investors and creating a common platform for participants of the innovation ecosystem.
It was emphasized that during the week there will be direct and online discussions on the topics such as “How to accelerate the application of science?” and “How to develop an ecosystem?”
Then the event continued with an art exhibition entitled “Heritage of Lotfi Zadeh and the progressive thought of Azerbaijan”. The exhibition was organized on the basis of the paintings by Adil Asadli.
