Post offices at Oil rocks and Chilov island to be computerized soon
“Post offices No: 68 and 64, that are located at Oil rocks and Chilov island respectively, will be computerized soon”, told “ictnew.az” deputy general director of “Azerpocht” LLC, Nazim Suleymanov.
According to him, negotiations are being conducted now for this purpose. “If the negotiations prove successful, the mentioned localities will be computerized in the nearest future”, Mr. Suleymanov said.
For now, residents of Oil Rocks communicate with the rest of the world through the switchboard. Due to absence of computers in these localities, telegrams are sent via telephones there.
Mail delivery to these areas is carried out with use of The State Oil Company’s helicopters. Both localities are situated in the Caspian Sea and have post offices, which meet the latest requirements.
