Bakcell network able to handle high volume calls in busy hours
Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator and The Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan, is pleased to report that 2011 has been a year of accelerated growth for the company.
With huge investments in the entire network over the last years, Bakcell now services the customers in 99% of the country's territory, including in the hard-to-reach regions, the company's press release says on Friday.
The network capacity enables to handle high volume calls without any service interruption. On the New Year's Eve, 24 million calls and 26 million SMSes were successfully processed. It means 120% increase in Voice Calls and 90% increase in the SMS traffic comparing with the normal busy hours.
With respect to previous year 40% more roaming subscriber used Bakcell network on New Year eve. During New Year busy hours 152.000 3G subscriber used Bakcell data connection.
