New rules on application of interagency data-search system were approved

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has approved new rules on application of the automatic interagency data-search system (IAMAS) and determined the rate of using information resources in the interagency data-search system.

The rules define complex procedures for using IAMAS systems, forming, coordinating and using information resources, program-technical support and security and development measures.

IAMAS infrastructure insures the interaction between the state bodies connected to this system (city and regional polis departments, which make registrations and issue ID cards, agencies, which provide information about places of residence of citizens, regional passport centers, frontier points, diplomatic representations and consulate of Azerbaijan Republic).

The document approved by the Cabinet of Ministers also outlines the rules on registration of biometric data on citizens.
