“1 pupil – 1 computer” trainings to end by early March
Trainings that are conducted in selected secondary schools within “1 pupil – 1 computer” conception will be completed by early March. In three of the secondary schools the trainings have already been completed. Currently, the trainings are being conducted in five schools.
Coordinator of education projects of Intel Corporation, Teymur Mammadov, told “İCTnews” that trainings are planned to be conducted in 15 secondary schools till the end of March. According to him, the mentioned project was implemented jointly by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and “Madad” humanitarian organization within the State Program on informatization of the educational system for 2008-2012.
Mr. Mammadov noted that 2,400 “Intel” netbooks were distributed among classes of the pilot schools in Baku and Sumgait cities. During the trainings the teachers of pilot schools were taught various programs on organization of lessons, teaching methods and formation of the environment for conducting lessons under “1 pupil – 1 computer” conception. After passing through the trainings, the teachers conduct their lessons, using the netbooks according to the mentioned principle.
