Modules for smart cards to be integrated in a centralized information system for mass payments (APUS)


Module that allows to download smart-cards to pay for the use of gas will be integrated in a centralized information system for mass payments (APUS) at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), head of department of postal services of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov said.

Mammadov said the work is scheduled to be completed within two months."Postal operator of Azerbaijan is a major user of APUS. Currently the work on integration into the system of module for the collection of taxes is being implemented," Mammadov said.

APUS system is closely integrated with the clearing of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and is based on settlement and clearing system of retail payments BCS / X company MCA.

The system allows to pay public utilities, telephone and other debt at all offices and branches of banks and the postal service operator Azerpoct. Payments are also made through the Internet and logged into the system of ATMs. The main objective of APUS is informing consumers of public services on their debts, as well as the implementation of billing for services using a variety of readily available and payment mechanisms.
