New communication house launched in Nakhchivan

Construction of new social objects in villages of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and creation of modern infrastructure is very important for raising the life standard of citizens of this republic. Construction of modern communication facilities also plays a significant role in insuring high  standard of life in Nakhchivan.

New communication houses were constructed and put into operation in villages of the autonomous republic to provide their residents with modern and convenient means of communication. One of these communication houses was built in Darakand village in Sharur region.

The communication house has a modern EATS with a capacity of 176 numbers, which renders services to 102 subscribes. Apart from traditional communication services, the EATS provides villagers with high quality multimedia services as well. Previously, there wasn’t a post office in Darakand, and residents of the village had to use a post office which was located in the neighboring Yukhari Dasharkh village.

Now, residents of Darakand don’t have to leave their village to use communication services. The new communication house provides the following services to the villagers: acceptance and sending of letters and parcels, acceptance and payment of money orders, receipt and dispatch of telegrams, fax service, sale of different types of cell phone and internet cards. The communication house is also expected to  provide the villagers with banking services in future.
