Police Tase Woman for Buying Too Many iPhones

The Apple Store in Nashua, N.H,. is apparently very strict about its two-iPhones-per-customer rule. At least that's what happened to 44-year-old Chinese national Xiaojie Li earlier this week, according to local news station WCVB. Li bought two iPhones from the Apple Store at the local Pheasant Lane Mall last Friday. She wanted more, but was refused.

After Li began shooting video of customers she believed were allowed to purchase more than two iPhones, she was asked by employees to leave. Later, Li thought up a potential workaround: She ordered two more iPhones online for in-store pickup. However, when she arrived Tuesday to complete the transaction, Apple Store employees were apparently wise to her plan and refused to give her the phones.

Apple Store employees once again asked Li to leave -- a request the Chinese-speaking Li says she didn't understand. The employees asked a policeman on mall security duty to escort her out.

The officer claims she was resisting his orders, so he Tased her - an act caught on film by many smartphone users nearby. According to WCVB, Li was carrying $16,000 in cash and was attempting to buy iPhones for relatives in China. She has been charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
