BSU and universities of Turkey discuss mutual cooperation in innovations sphere


A Turkish delegation led by the chairman of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey Gokhan Chetinsay and consisting of rectors, professors and doctors of known Turkish universities Davut Aydin (Anatolia University), Ramazan Korkmaz (Ardagan University), Hikmat Kochak (Erzurum Ataturk University), Arif Yilmaz (Rachab Tayib Ardogan University), Sami Ozchan (Kars Caucasus University) and Aygun Atar (Giresun University) has made an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This information was revealed to "ICTnews" online news service by the Press Service of Baku State University (BSD). Within the framework of the visit, the Turkish delegation met with the rector of Baku State University academician Abel Maharramov.

During the meeting A.Maharramov provided the foreign guests with information about BSU’s international relations, its membership in numerous university associations and its cooperation with the world’s leading universities. He said that DSU is interested in building cooperation with Turkish universities. The sides discussed issues related to establishing mutual cooperation between universities in such fields as science, education and innovations.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between BSU and Anatolia and Rachab Tayib universities. The document provides for exchanging students between the universities, carrying out joint scientific activities, holding joint symposiums, seminars and conferences and participating in joint projects and programs. It is worth noting that last year, BSU singed cooperation agreements with the other mentioned universities of Turkey.

Upon completion of the signing ceremony, the guests visited scientific research laboratories, the Heydar Aliyev Museum and the Electronic Learning Centre.
