Minister of Communications and IT met with students studying abroad


The Minister of Communication and IT Ali Abbasov has met with Azerbaijani students, studying in the leading universities of foreign countries in the field of IT. Welcoming the young students the minister said that regular meetings with students studying abroad became tradition in Azerbaijan. He stressed that hundreds of young people were receiving education at the most famous universities of the world due to the special care and attention the President Ilham Aliyev had been giving to training of young qualified specialists for rapidly developing Azerbaijan Republic. The Minister noted that among these young people there were students learning in the field of Information and Communications Technologies. At the same time the Minister stated that The Ministry of Communications and IT established ICT related Human Recourses Development Fond, and implemented ICT Personnel Training Program within the framework of State Program "Education of Azerbaijani Youth in Foreign Countries in 2007 – 2015” signed by the Head of the State. The speaker also reminded that so far 168 students had received material and moral support and become bachelors and masters up on graduation from the universities listed in the “List of the universities selected for Azerbaijani youth for studying abroad” with specialties listed the “List of prior fields, profession and programs”. Having familiarized himself with educational and social challenges the students were facing, the minister gave relevant instructions in order to solve them. The students speaking at the meeting thanked the President for the care and attention shown to them, and promised that they, in their turn, would work hard to become high-skilled specialists and would in no way fail Azerbaijan in foreign countries. At the end of the meeting the minister wished good luck to the students, and advised them to always remember and serve their Fatherland wherever they would live or work.
