The most and least repairable phones of 2016 from iFixit

If you’re not familiar with iFixit, it should be your go-to site for anything repair and maintenance of your favorite gizmos. They take them apart so that we’d know what’s inside and how to repair them.

Since they’ve had to pry out numerous devices especially smartphones, their team has the list (and knowledge) to rank out devices based on their repairability status. This depends on easy they are to take apart and replace each component.

Here is iFixit’s 2016 Smartphone Repairability list. The numbers represent their score with 10 being the highest.

Seems Like LG’s modular design continues inside as its components are relatively easy to disassemble as well. Apple’s iPhones are surprisingly easy too which is a plus point as we all know how expensive it gets to have it fixed through service centers after warranty.

Also, the Google Pixel which is unofficially available in PH. Samsung’s S7/S7 Edge and now deceased Note 7 gets the lowest scores due to excessive use of adhesives.
