Citizens will carry out compulsory vehicle insurance online

Just like in the rest of the world, Azerbaijani citizens will also be able to avail themselves of online insurance, which is the simplest and most convenient mode of insurance, via the E-government portal.

Thus, the operator of the E-government portal – the Data Processing Centre (DPC) digitalized the service called “Compulsory vehicle insurance” and integrated it into the portal.

To use this service, the user should access the E-government portal and select “Compulsory vehicle insurance” e-service from the list of “The other services”.

Then, the user should enter the car’s registration mark into the opened window and click on “Continue” button. After that, a new window will open where the user should enter the number of the car’s body.  The make and model of the car will appear on the screen.  Then, the user should enter his personal data into the system and click on “Continue” button. Although the system automatically determines the date of enactment of insurance, the user can choose another date within 30 days starting from the date assigned by the system. In the opened page, the user will see the names of insurance companies and the amount to be paid.

Finally, the user should select the insurance company and pay the insurance fee.

Note that, online insurance provides more safety and comfort that conventional one.  Therefore, most people around the world prefer to use online insurance.  According to statistics, 70% of Britons and 50% of Frenchmen use online insurance.

One of the positive aspects of online insurance is that it doesn’t require the mediator. In other words, there is a direct link between the insurer and the client without participation of the insurance broker or agent. And this, in turn, reduces the cost of insurance.
