Honor MagicBook 2019 laptop with AMD processor, up to 10-hour battery life launched


Alongside the Honor 20i smartphone, Honor has announced the MagicBook 2019 laptop in China. The new notebook comes with a few changes from the first-gen Honor MagicBook 2018 laptop and aims to offer decent performance at a budget price. The MagicBook 2019 features a three-sided metal body design and a display with narrower bezels. Moreover, unlike last year, the notebook ships with an AMD chip instead of Intel Core i7 processor.
 
The Honor MagicBook 2019 has been priced at RMB 3,999 (~Rs 42,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and the high-end variant with double the storage at RMB 4,999 (~Rs 44,500). The notebook comes in two colour variants: Glacier Silver and Starry Sky. The machine will go on sale in China from April 18th onwards on Honor’s official website and selected e-stores such as Vmall and Tmall.
 
Coming to the specifications, the MagicBook 2019 sports a 14-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution. At its core lies the highest AMD Ruilong 7 3700U processor paired with Vega 10 graphics card that is said to boost gaming performance. The laptop also packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB/ 512GB SSD storage, and a 57.4Wh battery that is rated to continuously play HD video up to 10 hours.
 
Other than these, the notebook also comes with power button-cum fingerprint sensor, Magic-link 2.0 to conveniently transfer video, documents, or files from phone to PC. The MagicBook 2019 comes preloaded with Windows 10 to take care of the software side of things. Connectivity options include USB Type-C port, a full-sized HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack.
