Huawei introduced the UK budget smartphone Honor 8S 2020

The Chinese tech giant Huawei today introduced the budget smartphone Honor 8S in the UK, which is already available for order on the company’s official website. The device is nothing more than last year’s slightly improved Honor Play.

Last year’s Honor Ply was available in a number of countries with a minimum configuration of 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, and the new device is the same smartphone, but with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The heart of the device is still the 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, which includes four Cortex-A53 cores and the PoverVR GE8320 graphics processor. The display is represented by a 5.71-inch matrix with a resolution of HD + and an aspect ratio of 19: 9.

The device is equipped with a fairly simple main camera module with a resolution of 13 megapixels and a 5-megapixel front sensor located in a drop-shaped cutout. Wireless capabilities of the device are also not amazing. 4G networks, 2.4 GHz single-band Wi-Fi, and GPS are supported. The smartphone is charged through the rapidly aging Micro-USB-connector. There is also a 3.5mm jack for connecting wired headphones.

The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie, on top of which the proprietary shell EMUI 9.0 is installed. The capacity of the built-in battery is 3020 mAh. Support for fast charging is missing. The cost of the smartphone is 99.99 pounds (about 8,700 rubles).
