Coordination Council on Internet development under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Republic held its next meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives of several providers operating in the country.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizade. Issues such as providing quality Internet services during Eurovision 2012 Song Contest in Baku in May, in general organization and quality of Internet services and decisions adopted at the last meeting of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) as well as discussions on the Internet Governance Forum (İGF) scheduled for November of current year in Azerbaijan were discussed at the meeting.
Moreover, the event participants exchanged views on the draft “Rules for registration and use of country code top-level domain names in Azerbaijan Republic” prepared by the Council.
Relevant decisions were adopted on the result of the meeting.
