5 most dangerous viruses on the internet

Even the most advanced antivirus software cannot ensure full protection of computers and smartphones from cyberattacks due to the existence of a great variety of malware programs in the Internet. 
According to an article published on psm7.com site, the following 5 malware programs pose the greatest threat to computers and smartphones:

T9000

The Palo Alto Networks detect Trojan T9000 a few days ago. It infects computers running on Windows and is distributed in RTF format via Skype or e-mails. The malware uses several modules for different tasks.  The first module, tieu.dat, steals correspondence and contacts in Skype. The second module, vcd.dat, copies files from computers and converts them into different formats. The third one, qhnj.dat, opens remote access to the system.

MazarBOT

Trojan MazarBOT was detected by specialists of CSIS Security Group. The malware was developed specially for Android devices. The virus is transmitted via SMS to steal money from credit cards. To do this, the virus has an option to intercept data from the credit card while its owner is carrying out transaction via the mobile phone. MazarBOT can bypass almost any security system of online banking. The Trojan was programmed by hackers from Russia. That is why it doesn’t steal money from devices of Russian users.

TeslaCrypt

TeslaCrypt is a ransomware Trojan discovered by F-Secure in a Skype advertisement. The malware targets computers with specific computer games installed. Upon infecting a computer, the malware searches for 185 file extensions related to 40 different games, which include the Call of Duty series, World of Warcraft, Minecraft and World of Tanks, and encrypts them. The files targeted involve the save data, player profiles, custom maps and game mods stored on the victim's hard drives. The victim is then prompted with a ransom of $500 worth of bitcoins in order to obtain the key to decrypt the files.

Remtasu

ESET is warning about Remtasu Trojan activity, which steals personal data. It is transmitted by e-mail. The only way to protect oneself from this malware is not to read letters from unknown persons and not to open attachments to these letters.

Adwind

This virus of Hispanic origin has a unique way of spreading in the network. There is a platform on which any fraudster can buy a malicious program and use it for his own purposes. This virus is designed for different tasks, including copying and stealing documents and tracking the victim's actions. At the same time, this virus remains invisible for anti-virus software.
