Vulnerability in Viber allowed eavesdropping on other people's conversations


Habrahabr user under the pseudonym of “tambovchanin” reported vulnerability in Viber that allows hearing other people's conversations.
 
Researcher found the problem in October last year and informed the messenger service support about it.
 
It seems that the developers ignored the first message, so tambovchanin decided to make public the details of the problem.
 
The vulnerability allows overhearing other people's conversations, if at the time of communication on Viber one of the interlocutors answers an incoming call on a mobile network, leaving the other on hold.
