Aztelecom LLC of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies continues to deploy the latest generation wireless technology in its service areas and provide the population with stable communications, high-speed Internet and other multimedia services.
Currently, LTE network (Long Term Evolution) has already been deployed on the territory of Absheron region, in the city of Khirdalan, in the villages of Digah, Fatmai, Mohammadli, Masazir, Mehdiabad, Novkhani Gardens, Gobu, Saray, in Sumgait – in the 11th microdistrict, in the villages of Jorat, Gurd Deresi and H.Z. Taghiyev.
Wireless Internet and telephony services via LTE technology have been launched in Absheron region and Sumgait city. LTE technology has advantages such as high speed data transfer and fast provision of telecommunication services in places with limited infrastructure.
It should be noted that LTE technology is used in many countries of the world with over 4 billion subscribers.
It will be recalled that the project for the introduction of LTE network in Azerbaijan was launched in early 2018. As a pilot project, Aztelecom LLC has deployed a wireless network in the villages of Hulovlu and Garachi of Khachmaz region, and receiving equipment has been installed in residential buildings. As a result, subscribers in these villages now have access to high-speed internet as well as other multimedia services.
Work on provision of telecommunication services through LTE technology will be carried out in other regions as well.
