Another innovation in receiving international postal items
Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies held negotiations with the Russian Post, as a result of which postal items transported by land were implemented.
Delivery of postal items to Azerbaijan from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine was carried out through the customs checkpoint Red Bridge. Transit postal items sent from Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan were also provided.
Today, international postal items entering Azerbaijan are delivered to their destination.
It should be noted that within the framework of the measures taken by the World Health Organization to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, air transport communication between several countries was limited, and existing flights were suspended. In this respect, due to the importance of exchanging postal items by land transport, it is planned to hold negotiations with other countries in this direction in the future.
It will be recalled that as a result of negotiations held with the cargo airline by Azerpost LLC, international postal services are carried out to 34 countries.
